About Me (Leslie Guzmán)
An artist/photographer/blogger originally from Guatemala City, but reside in Houston, TX. I love to travel, make art, take photographs, write and I love to learn about art.
My love
for art began with photography when my mother gave me my first camera at age
twelve. Ever since then I have been fascinated with photo taking, editing and
converting it into art.
I knew
nothing else about art and I was dead set on being a photographer. That was
until I entered college and a very wise adviser (I wish I knew her name) gently
suggested I pursue an Art degree instead. She convinced me by saying I could
focus on photography classes. Another art professor pushed me when I wanted to
give up on art. That was the start of my love affair
with art.
Here I am
close to finishing college and I keep exploring other forms of art. Printmaking,
Painting, Mixed Media and I have gotten along since the start of my art
journey. We will see what the future has in store for us.
My artist blog BottegaGuzman is the journey of me and art. Documenting the beginning of my first art studio and evolving as an artist. Including sneak peeks of my work in progress.
